Duncan Bannatyne’s Seaside Rescue continues its second summer outing on Virgin1 with next week’s show on Wednesday 4 August focusing on how to revive interest in the Suffolk resort of Felixstowe. The following week the fearless entrepreneur tackles Sandham Rides on the Isle of Wight.

Felixstowe – Wednesday 4 August at 8pm
Seen as a major port on the Suffolk coast – Felixstowe’s reputation doesn’t do it any favours. Originally a traditional thriving seaside destination, Felixstowe seems more famous for industry than tourism, but local businesses want this to change. Dominating the heart of the seafront promenade are 3 attractions owned by parts of the same family. Proud of Felixstowe and what they have to offer, the family want Duncan to help bring the crowds of day trippers back to the town, but first he’ll need to bring what they have on offer up to scratch. They need a collective identity, which unites the promenade area, and individually they need to be more appealing as attractions. Once this is achieved, Duncan can set about putting Felixstowe back on the British Seaside Map.

Sandham Rides, Sandown, the Isle of Wight – Wednesday 11 August at 8pm
Nestled on the Isle of Wight is Sandown, a popular tourist hotspot that boasts golden sandy beaches, candy floss, fish and chips and even a pier. Only a stone’s throw from the blue flag beach is Sandham Rides, an outdoor attraction that boasts a roller coaster, go-karts, an astroglide slide and even a slush factory. With holiday makers returning to the Island, Sandham Rides should be a huge money making success and owner Ross Edgerton knows it. But in his 3 seasons at Sandham he's seen visitor numbers drop and profits take a dive - Ross admits that he needs to start making money...and fast.

Reinforcements are on their way in the form of successful business entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne. Duncan will attempt to give the attraction an overhaul with a completely new theme, but is the challenge too big for Bannatyne?
